Orange County Animal Emergency Service was established by Orange / Sullivan County veterinarians to provide complete, 24-hour emergency and critical care on weekends, holidays and after 5 p.m. daily. Our primary goal is to maintain continuous care facilities for patients that are critically ill or injured. The clinic staff is also available to provide prompt relief from other mishaps or ailments that may not be life threatening, but are painful or cause for immediate concern on the part of the pet owner.
Many area veterinary hospitals refer their emergency calls to us after 5 p.m. daily, over the weekends and on major holidays. Do not be disappointed to find that your own pet’s doctor is not at our facility. Referring you to our emergency clinic is simply the best way to ensure that your pet will be cared for through the entire evening/weekend/holiday by a well-trained professional staff of veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and experienced veterinary assistants. In case of an emergency, we ask that you first call your regular veterinarian. On many occasions, you will be given our emergency clinic number. Please call us before coming to the emergency clinic, even in a dire emergency. Calling ahead enables our staff to prepare for your pet’s arrival. We will suggest immediate first aid measures over the phone and will also give you specific directions to our clinic. Please note that an emergency fee is charged to all clients. This is to meet the costs of maintaining a well-equipped and fully-staffed emergency facility during your time of need. Payment of fees is due at the time that the services are rendered. We accept cash, MasterCard or Visa, and personal checks that are approved through a check verification service. Upon release of the patient, you will be given an itemized receipt and full medical record.
